This morning was spent looking at weather reports and trying to decide when to head to Peoria and further stops. The winds are predicted at 13-16 mph for the next two days so we decided to stay put until Saturday. Our boat is over 18 feet tall with lots of surface area to get pushed around by the wind. That doesn’t make for a comfortable ride so we’ll stay here a couple more nights and hope the predicted 5 mph winds for Saturday hold. This journey isn’t about getting somewhere fast for us – if it were, we would be traveling by car!
The rest of the day was spent doing mundane things on the boat and chatting with other Loopers.
I did get a nice shot of some of the marina late this afternoon.
Thank you to all who have left comments on my blog. I’m glad you’re enjoying my blog. I’m still trying to figure out how to get pictures to appear properly oriented – my daughter informed me that some of them appear sideways or upside down when viewed on a PC or laptop. They look fine on my iPad – I guess everyone will need to get an iPad to read my blog (full disclosure – I own apple stock).😀 And then I’ll work on replies to comments.
It was a great pleasure meeting you and so grateful for allowing TJ and myself to explore your beautiful boat. You both are a lovely couple and I look forward to following your looping adventures. So happy to hear you are enjoying our marina, Heritage Harbor. Jeremy and his team work diligently to ensure that all loopers have a great experience. Safe travels!
You deserve a quiet day!! I’m so impressed with all you are learning. Soon you will be experienced “loopers” teaching other newbies. I love checking your blog to see what is new in Selos’ world on the water. Thanks for keeping us posted.
